Fast and Effective Cleaning for Tile and Grout, Stone, and More

Extend the Life of Your Tile Floors

1. Seal Your Grout – While many commonly used tiles are non-porous, that doesn’t mean that your grout is. This tends to be the hardest part of tile flooring, backsplashes, or showers to keep clean. Add in a room or environment with excess humidity, such as a bathroom, and you have the perfect place for mildew growth. Applying a grout sealer will help your grout to resist stains and spills, making cleanup a breeze.
2. Leave Your Shoes at The Door – This rule is good to follow for any type of floor, but it holds true for tile too. When you enter your home, the soles of your shoes bring in a little bit of everything you may have knowingly (or unknowingly) walked through. This isn’t only a matter of the protection of your floor, but also of the health of your home. Removing shoes at the door and wearing slippers or socks around the house will keep this debris from blemishing or staining the surface of your tile. Slippers or socks will also keep the oils and dirt from the bottom of your feet from dirtying your tile.

3. Maintain a Regular Cleaning Routine – Staying on top of general cleaning of your tile is a key component to ensuring the longevity of your tile surfaces. Performed on a regular basis, at-home tile cleaning using basic household cleaners can still remove the majority of dirt, soap buildup, and more.
